A MAN who targeted shops and snatched cash from tills to pay for his drug addiction has been jailed for four years.
David Greaves, of Mallard Place, Oswaldtwistle, was told by a judge at Preston Crown Court that the most serious part of the case was the nature of the victims he targeted.
"These people are prepared to work in shops serving the public, sometimes at unsociable hours. They have to be protected from drug addicts such as you, who prey on them in order to feed their habit."
The 32-year-old struck at a number of shops, including Booze Busters in Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, where he trapped a cashier's writ in a till.
