A man who died after falling from a railway bridge in Accrington on Friday has been named.

Kieron Taylor, a local man, was discovered shortly before 7am on the King Street car park under Accrington viaduct.

Police are not treating the 43-year-old's death as suspicious.

A file has been passed to the coroner and a post-mortem is to be held on Tuesday.

A police spokeswoman said: "We received a call from the ambulance at around 6.50am on Friday, February 3 saying a man had fallen from a railway bridge. We are not treating it as suspicious."

British Transport Police said trains hadn't been delayed.
