A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary after a collision yesterday (Tuesday).

A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary after a collision yesterday (Tuesday).

Mark Branwood, aged 32, of Cabin End Road, Knuzden, suffered a fractured leg after the Suzuki motorcycle he was driving was involved in a collision with a Daihatsu Sirion driven by 80-year-old John Cooper of Lupin Close, Accrington.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the accident, which happened at 2.25pm at the junction of Whalley Road and Garden Street, Accrington, to contact Accrington's Road Policing Unit on 01254 353767.
