A paedophile is back behind bars facing jail, after admitting abducting two children.

Patrick Blackie, 26, took the boy and girl earlier this year.

He had previously been placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years, along with his twin brother James.

Both have previously been sent to jail for child porn offences.

Patrick Blackie was back before Burnley Crown Court again on August 19, where he pleaded guilty to the two abduction charges.

The defendant, formerly of Great Harwood, but now of no fixed address, was remanded in custody until September 29, when he will be sentenced by Judge Beverley Lunt.

He is also set to be made subject of a sex offences prevention order that day.

In January last year, Blackie was locked up for 15 months for committing a sex act in front of a boy and having 20 indecent pictures of children on his computer.

He had pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and three counts of possessing an indecent photo of a child.

The court had earlier been told how Patrick Blackie was rumbled over the sex act several years later, after he sent drunken texts to a friend.

He had sent a young woman messages claiming he had had sexual contact with four young boys.

Months earlier, Blackie had emailed a former fellow college student, telling him he ‘liked kids’ and had had a relationship with a young girl.

Police were called and Patrick Blackie blamed his brother for the emails. A computer Blackie used was seized and on it were indecent pictures of boys, one of them a video clip at level four.

Last November, his identical twin James was sent to prison for 20 months, after he downloaded 240 still images and video clips of youngsters aged between four and 13 – some showing serious sexual abuse – and went on to share some with other perverts.

The twins’ cases were not connected.
