More than 500 cannabis plants have been discovered at a house in Accrington.

The plants, with an estimated street value of £200,000, were found in two upstairs bedrooms and a loft at the address on Persia Street around midnight last night (Wednesday 16 June).

Officers were investigating reports of a burglary at the house when they discovered the plants along with lighting and heating equipment.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary and a 32-year-old man has, this morning, been arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.
