PUPILS from seven primary schools visited Norden High School in Rishton for a taster day.

More than 160 Year 5 pupils sampled a variety of lessons and activities in order to get a picture of what life is like at the school.

Coaches transported most of the pupils to the Stourton Street school however youngsters from St Peter and St Paul’s and Rishton Methodist School walked over.

They made bouncy custard balls in a science lesson, fruit kebabs in food technology and enjoyed maths quizzes and sports challenges.

The newly appointed Year 10 pupils mentor at the school looked after the visitors showing them the different classrooms and facilities and helping them get around.

Claire Munroe, of Norden High School, said: “The children had a fantastic day with one child asking if he could come again next week.”
