Cheering crowds will line the route as the Olympic torch passes through Hyndburn on Saturday, June 23.

The torch route will come into Oswaldtwistle via Harvey Street and is due to start its journey down Union Road at 10.19am. it has been announced.

The torch will then head up Market Street and on to Blackburn Road, Accrington via the Church gateway. It will be carried through Accrington on to Abbey Street, along Eastgate and on to Burnley Road, finishing just before 11am.

Activities have been planned at various points along the route to mark the historic occasion.

Events are being planned at key landmarks in Oswaldtwistle and Accrington and will feature Hyndburn's Everyday Olympians.
