Youngsters are being offered the chance to earn and learn under plans to extend an apprenticeship scheme.

Hyndburn Homes Repairs are searching for an apprentice electrician and a business administration apprentice to help  with their 3,200 properties.

They recently took on an apprentice joiner, plasterer and plumber as well as 20-year-old James Deane, of Accrington, who now works as a business administration assistant.

He said: “It’s a great career opportunity for me and there’s a visible career ladder to climb.”

Hyndburn Homes  has joined up with Burnley College and North Lancs Training Group to fill the apprentice posts. For more details  contact alice.bennett@symphonyhousing.org.uk
