A ‘superstar of the folk world’ will visit Clayton-le-Moors for a ‘rare solo performance’.

Phil Beer will attend Mill House Masonic Hall at Cornyard Mill.

Phil is better known as part of top folk duo Show of Hands, and has had a successful and long career as a member of Mike Oldfield’s touring band and Johnny Coppin’s band.

He has also had an exceptional career as a session musician, recording with the Rolling Stones and Steve Harley.

Samantha Hand, who is promoting the event, said: “Music lovers in Hyndburn will have the opportunity to welcome a superstar of the folk world in when Phil Beer comes to Clayton-le-Moors for a rare solo performance at Mill House Masonic Hall.

“Phil Beer’s show will be a unique opportunity to see a master musician and entertainer in a beautifully intimate venue and promises to be a fantastic night for all music lovers.”

They have also sold out at the Royal Albert Hall on four occasions and appeared on the BBC Andrew Marr Remembrance Sunday show last year.
