DRINKERS at the Sydney Street WMC are raising a glass after it was named CAMRA Club of the Year for the third time running.
Delighted steward John Freeman said: "It is marvellous. We are thrilled to win the title again. The stewardess and all the staff have done a brilliant job pulling the perfect pint."
The club has also been included in real-ale bible The Good Beer Guide.
John added: "We get customers from all over the place. We had some lads in from Lancaster recently. People like to come in for a pint and then go and watch Accrington Stanley."
The club, which is considering staging beer festivals in the future, was presented with a special plaque to mark its achievement.
