Three people had to be rescued by fire crews after getting trapped in a lift.

Firefighters were called to the Waterside Apartments on Ormerod Street in Accrington just after 2pm on Sunday, September 16.

A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the people were stuck in the lift for about 15 minutes and used special lift keys to lower the lift. No injuries were reported.
