UPDATE: More travellers set up on playing field despite council notice to leave

More travellers have set up at Baxenden Recreation Ground despite being told to leave.

A group of four caravans and two cars arrived at the popular playing field on Friday, April 17.

Hyndburn council confirmed that officers visited the site earlier this week and issued a notice for them to leave by Tuesday, April 21.

However on Wednesday, April 22, the travellers were still at the site and included five caravans and four cars.
