A driver was taken to hospital with minor leg injuries after a car flipped onto its side following a road collision.

Police were called to Union Road outside Oswaldtwistle School and found a black Toyota Corolla on its side after a collision with a red Citroen C1.

Detective Inspector Andy Winter, of Lancashire Police, said one man suffered minor leg injuries and went to hospital for treatment.

Damage was reported to both cars and paramedics did not attend the scene.

The aftermath of the incident was captured by passer by Paul Sparkes.

The collision happened shortly after 10.30pm on Tuesday, January 19 and no arrests have been made.
