A woman has gone missing from a care home in Accrington.

Shona Emmott, 24, was last seen by staff at the care home on Burnley Lane, Accrington on Friday, January 23.

She is thought to have left the home at around 5pm, stating that she was going to see a friend.

She is described as white, around 5ft 2 tall of a stocky build with straight shoulder length dyed black hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black dress patterned with coloured flowers, black leggings and a short black jacket with a black handbag.

It is thought that Shona could have travelled to the Blackpool area.

PC Mark Dumican of Blackburn Police said: “We are very concerned about the welfare of Shona and would urge her, or anyone who has seen her to contact us as soon as possible.”
