YUMMY mummy Vikkie Moore has been voted Hyndburn’s Hottest Honey.

Vivacious Vikkie, 27, only entered the competition when her mum suggested it would boost her confidence after the breakdown of a relationship – and was shocked to discover she had come out on top after thinking she was "too old to win".

"Down-to-earth" Vikkie, of Manchester Road, Baxenden, who is 5’7" tall, is a devoted mum to five-year-old Baxenden St John’s Primary School pupil Samuel.

She recently began working part-time at the Bay Horse pub where she is now something of a local celebrity.

And admirers who deluged the Observer offices with votes for her are sure to be raising a glass to the cat-loving barmaid after she beat our other 29 Honeys to the prize of £100 and a portfolio of pictures from our photographer Tony Cross.

She said: "I’m on my own with a child and I entered the competition to get my confidence back. Even if I hadn’t won I would have got what I wanted out of it. I’ve had quite a lot of comments in the pub and men grabbing my hand and saying: ‘Are you in the Hyndburn Honeys?’"

A former lifeguard, Vikkie once took part in the BT Swimathon, Europe’s largest annual swimming event, completing over three miles in under two hours to break the pool record.

She says being a busy mum is all she now needs to keep her size eight figure in trim.

Vikkie is currently loving being single after coming out of a long-term relationship, but has revealed her dream date would be with actor Jason Statham, who she describes as "rugged". Her favourite date would combine either Italian or Chinese food with a trip to a theme park.

She plans to spend her prize money on Christmas presents for Dr Who fan Samuel.

"I’d like to do some more modelling in the future but I would have to fit it in around my son," she added. "He’s the number one and the cats are number two. I’m number three."

Our competition attracted almost 1,000 votes. A close second place went to Michaela Kenny, 19, of Oswaldtwistle and third was Great Harwood’s Emma Finglass, 21.
