A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in Oswaldtwistle.
Armed police were called to an address on Havelock Street after a 26-year-old woman received stab wounds to her abdomen and shoulder.
She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment and Lancashire Police have described her condition as ‘stable’.
A 41-year-old man from Oswaldtwistle has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody.
The incident happened at around 4pm on Tuesday, September 29 and armed police and a police helicopter were called to the area.
