A mugger targeted a woman as she walked to a supermarket with her two young children.
Police said the woman was walking along the ‘Black Path’ in Accrington between Tesco and the railway station when a man snatched her handbag.
The beige bag contained a pink iPhone 5C, £14 cash and a bank card.
He then fled the area in the direction of Lonsdale Street.
Officers said the offender snatched the handbag from her shoulder and no force was used or violence threatened.
The thief is described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, around 5ft 8ins of stocky build and wearing a grey hoodie.
The incident happened at around 11.10am on Sunday, May 24.
