Traders and residents are due to benefit from ultrafast 4G across Accrington.

The arrival of Vodafone 4G means customers will be able to connect to the internet more quickly, more reliably and in more places than ever before.

It is also expected to boost local businesses by allowing employees to work where they want to, when they want to.

The company is rolling out 4G across the town this week.

Accrington became the 100th town in the UK to benefit from superfast 4G Internet connection when EE rolled out a service in August 2013.

A spokesman for Vodafone said: “Vodafone has now extended its unbeatable 4G coverage to 414 larger cities, towns and districts as well as thousands of smaller communities across the UK.

“The rollout of 4G services is part of the £1 billion Vodafone is spending on across its network and services in the UK this year.”
