This week’s Time-trip takes a look back at events taking place in 2008.
There were birthday parties, charity fundraising events, and even a motorcycle club rock night for Valentine’s Day.
In our weekly Time-trip feature, we publish a set of pictures taken by Accrington Observer photographers which appeared in the paper in the 2000s.
They can be seen first on our website and are then reprinted in the paper.
This week we have a shot of Hollins High School, Accrington, where a head shaving event was held.
In the picture, pupils can be seen filming the shaving taking place.
There is also a photograph of Amy Leeming’s 21st birthday party at Brooks Club, Accrington and another of Accrington Motorcycle Club’s Valentine’s rock night at the Brook Club, Accrington.
Finally, we have featured a photograph of St Christopher’s High School, Accrington, where students staged a talent show to raise money for an Indian orphanage.
