Tim Carter, 68, of Baxenden wearing his prized hat

A pensioner is urgently appealing for the public’s help to trace a prized hat.

Tim Carter, 68, of Collins Drive, Baxenden left the hat, which was given to him as a present by his son-in-law, on the 464 Rosso Bus on Monday, November 9.

Rosso Bus have confirmed that the hat has not been handed in.

Mr Carter said: “That hat has been all over the world and was given to me as a gift by my son-in-law, it would mean so much to me to have it back. I would even offer a small reward, it has so much sentimental value.”

Mr Carter caught the 5.44pm service from Peel Street and disembarked at Baxenden at 6pm. He was sat in the middle of the bus on the left hand side.

Anyone with any information should contact Mr Carter on 07593683106.
