Pupils have raised more than £100 for charity after taking part in a sponsored sleepover.

The year 7 students at Mount Carmel High School in Accrington took part in the event on Thursday, December 17 in aid of East Lancashire Hospice.

Sue Fielding, partnership manager at the school, said: “The pupils played games and quizzes and competed in team challenges.

“They were served hot chocolate and supper by our school PTA and watched a Christmas film before settling down for a good night’s sleep in the school Hall.

“Breakfast was served by our catering staff before lessons began.”
