A food festival billed as a ‘celebration’ of the town has been rebranded.
Accrington Food and Drink Festival, formerly known as Lancashire Food Festival, will this year be held over just one day rather than two, and hopes to tempt more than 4,000 visitors with a smorgasbord of culinary treats.
Among the treats designed to showcase the area’s best food and drink will be freshly made pies, black puddings, healthy juices and colourful cakes.
Kirsty Lauder, from Accrington Market Online who is helping to organise the festival, said: “We know everything that’s great about Accrington and the wider area - there is just so much fantastic produce available so it’s our job to handpick the very best and show it off.”
