Police are trying to trace two men they want to speak to in connection with a ‘serious assault’.

Zohib Rafiq, 27, of Willows Avenue, Accrington and Wahid Hussain, 26, of Richmond Road, Accrington are wanted after a 29-year-old man was rammed from the road while driving along Blackburn Road, Accrington at around 6am on Saturday, May 30.

Lancashire Police said the man was then ‘seriously assaulted’ and suffered injuries to his face, head and body.

DS Steve Acres, from East CID, said: “We would ask anyone with information around the whereabouts of Rafiq and Hussain to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

“Similarly if the pair are seeing this appeal themselves, I would urge them to hand themselves in at their nearest police station because we will continue searching for them until we locate them.”

Zohib Rafiq is described as Asian, around 5ft 10ins and of medium build.

Wahid Hussain is described as Asian, 6ft and also of medium build.
