Residents in Oswaldtwistle gathered for a Christmas lights switch-on in aid of Marie Cure Cancer Care.
Tony and Linda Grant and their neighbours, of Aspen Fold in West End, switched on their impressive lights display after organising a series of fundraising events.
Santa and his sleigh from the Rotary Club of Church and Oswaldtwistle also turned out to celebrate the grand opening and enjoyed a burger bar, tombola, raffle and cakes.
The event raised over £1,000 for the Marie Curie cancer charity.
Michael Jackson, of the Rotary Club, said: “Tony and Linda have been putting on their colourful lights for over 10 years and it is pleasing to see that most all the houses in Aspen Fold have joined in-which highlights the close cooperation between the neighbours.”
Ken Freeman, chairman of the Rotary’s fundraising activities, said they were ‘delighted’ to be part of the Aspen Fold event.
He said: “All the people involved are to be congratulated on putting on such a tremendous show.”
Santa and his sleigh will be going around the whole area of Church and Oswaldtwistle over the next three weeks to meet families and children.
