Welcome again to our Time-trip column.
Each wee we will publish a set of pictures taken by our photographers which appeared in the paper in the 2000s.
The pictures appear first on our website and are then reprinted in the paper.
This week the pictures show Locals in Baileys Bar, Accrington, and scholarship award winners Vanessa Wilkins, Jenny Mercer, Rachel Sellers, and Edward Antrobus who received awards at Accrington and Rossendale College.
There is also a shot of Sarah Parkinson and Diane Hanratty from Images Hair Salon collecting the best dressed window award from Hyndburn Chamber of Trade president Phillip Bond, with the mayor, Miles Parkinson looking on in Accrington Town Hall.
Finally, there is a picture of Accrington’s Saint Christopher’s High School prefects.
The photographs were all taken in the early 2000s.
