ACCRINGTON Cricket Club skipper David Ormerod is hoping he can lead his side to their first Worsley Cup final win since 1986.

The Thorneyholme Road team face local rivals Enfield tomorrow in the quarter-finals and are a force to be reckoned with this season.

"The Worsley Cup is special and we have got to be positive," said the skipper.

"We are in a good position in the league and are playing some good, entertaining cricket with plenty of runs.

"Enfield will be tough as they are a good competitive side and I respect their captain David Bracewell and he has done a great job there.

"We got a bye in the first round and you will always take that and now we have a quarter-final at home and against our local rivals - it is a massive game for us."
