ENFIELD skipper David Bracewell fancies a go at the title after his side finished fourth last season.

The Dill Hall Lane side have been boosted with the return of Zimbabwean Gary Brent.

He was phenomenal last season steering them from the bottom half of the table into a top four spot after coming in to replace Brandon Hiini in the middle of last summer.

The only problem is the 33-year-old has a full-time job at a school in Warwickshire and will miss a number of games due to work commitments.

All-rounder Keith Barker joined Warwickshire last season while Ben Dowling has signed up at Clitheroe.

Enfield have, though, added Kurt Richardson from Padiham.

Bracewell said: "I fully expect us to be in the top five again this season.

"Having Gary back has given everyone a massive boost and am sure he will again be one of the top paid men in the league.

"All the top teams have lost good players as we have with Keith signing pro terms at Warwickshire, and therefore I expect the season to be wide open.

"Accrington will obviously be the team to beat but I think they will find it harder to retain their titles. Haslingden have signed some good amateurs and I think Nelson will be up there if there pro stays for the full season."
