ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman refused to believe his side are safe despite Friday night's win over Dagenham.

 With just four games left, the Reds are 10 points clear of the drop zone after defender Phil Edwards headed home a 47th minute winner.

 "I don't think we are safe yet and we still need another two or three points and I would like to get another home win for the fans," said the Reds chief.

 "Phil deserved his goal - it has capped off three or four good performances from him.

"It wasn't the best performance but I would take any win and any clean sheet as we have not had many."

It was a game of limited chances on a muddy pitch with Stanley having the best of the first half but Daggers coming back after the break and coming close through top scorer Ben Strevens and Paul Benson.

"If I was Dagenham I would be disappointed that they didn't get a draw or a win," said Coleman. "We played well in the first half but in the second half we were absolutely abysmal."

 Daggers boss John Still - whose side are still in relegation trouble - said: "We deserved at least a draw. We may not technically be the best side in the division but we have hearts of lions and I am sure we will be safe."
