STANLEY manager John Coleman will have an even tighter budget to work with next season.

The Reds boss was already working on a reduced budget – rumoured to be around £10,000 a week – and now it is set to be slashed even further as the club face the winding-up order.

“We will have to reduce the playing budget even further while we work on paying this debt off,” said chief executive Rob Heys.

“This is now the priority and the playing budget is one thing which has to be cut.”

The Reds manager has already had to offer several players reduced contracts with only two players so far signed up for Stanley next season – transfer listed Paul Mullin and Sean McConville.

Others, like Player of the Year Jimmy Ryan and highly-rated winger Chris Turner, have agreed contracts but it remains to be seen what will happen in the next few weeks.
