JUNIOR FOOTBALL ROUND-UP: RISHTON under-13s achieved a dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Knuzden, after falling 2-0 down at half-time. Within a few minutes of the restart Joseph Moggeridge outpaced the defence and hit a first-time shot over the keeper. With above five minutes to go MOTM Mason Ralph latched onto a good through ball and finished coolly. Then, with almost the last kick of the game, another goalmouth scramble saw Bradley Campbell pounce and fire into the corner of the net.

HUNCOAT UNITED: Huncoat's Badgers won 7-0 against Clitheroe Yellow. Andrew Hilton scored four, Lewis Honey one with two from MOTM Joel Fox. The Under nine Allstars had a good win, beating Blackburn Eagles White 5-0, Lloyd Losardo scored three, Jack Beech a brace. MOTM was James Gregson. The Under 11's White beat Bromley Cross 2-0, Perry Jepson and MOTM Chris Dwyer on target. The Under 11's drew 2-2 with Rossendale, through Zac Bannan and Chris Dwyer strikes. MOTM was Connor Demain, ref's choice Zac Bannan. The Under 12's had a great win beating Accrington Stanley 6-4. The Under 13's went down 3-1 against Nelson FC. Saturday's Under 14's were unlucky to lose 4-3 against Ossie Rangers, Jacob Johnson, Bradley Cole and Jake Fairweather netting, with Sam Tattersall named MOTM. Sunday's Under 14's beat Langho Juniors 2-0 - Andy Eaton and Kyle Broadhurst grabbing the goals. MOTM was Andy Eaton, manager's choice Jake Crabtree. The Under 15's lost 5-0 against a strong Greyhound Ford.  Jason Thompson was MOTM.

AL91: Fielding a scratch side due to illness and injury, the Ladies were well beaten 4-0 by neighbours Padiham. Despite holding out to one down at the break, and being in with a chance, errors early in the second half allowed Padiham to get well ahead. Taking the game to Padiham, AL91 fought back with resilience and determination but could not find the net and the game finished with Padiham 4 - 0 winners. GREAT HARWOOD ROVERS: Eleven players got in the scoresheet as Great Harwood Rovers' Under 11s romped to a 12-0 win over Lammack Juniors, with Mason Clayton scoring twice and Kyle Haggan MOTM.

The Under 10’s produced an entertaining top of the table clash with Wilpshire that finished with the points shared in a 1-1 draw. After going behind against the run of play GHR levelled through Kyle Parker, with MOTM Sam Allen.

The Under 10’s also despatched Pendle Forest Green 9-2.

George Nightingale notched a hat-trick in the game while Kyle Parker and George Ramsbottom grabbed two each. Dominic Shephard's first for the club and the excellent MOTM Oliver Cruse completed the scoring.

The Under 10’s Yellow beat Blue Star Boys 2-0 with a Dalton Mullin strike and a Kyle Bentham penalty. MOTM was Callum Mullan.

The John Sykes Under 11's went down 2-1 against Rishton with James Kenny getting the goal and Tom Blackmore getting the MOTM.

THE TAVERNERS: The Taverners took on Boca Seniors in a top against bottom league clash, which ended 1-1. With minutes to half time the Taverners were awarded a penalty which Jordan Marsden netted to take them in at half time 1-0 up. Both teams pressed for a goal in the second half and Boca scored when the Taverners failed to clear from a corner. Paul Lathom,Jonatahon Eccles and MOTM Nick Ford came close to adding for the Taverners.

OSSY RANGERS: Ossy Rangers Under 8s played a strong Clitheroe Wolves side and put on a fine display in a 1-0 defeat.

The Under 12s continued their good run of form wit a hard fought 4-1 victory against Lanhgo after trailing. Isaac Archer was on the scoresheet twice with the others being added by Bryn Potter and MOTM Daniel Leech.

The Under 12s Daniel Leech, James Leech and Sam Parkinson were also named in the Inter League squad for their trip to Barrow.

GREYHOUND FORD: The Under 9's drew 1-1 at Rossendale Valley Blue, after an improved second half showing sore them equalise through midfielder Callum McDaid's third goal of the season. The remainder of the half was frantic with the woodwork being hit twice by GfJ's but the score remained deadlocked. The ref's MOTM was Ben Knowles.

The Under 15s ran out 5-0 winners over Huncoat Utd with Ford's top scorer Tom Anderton and Andrew Moores bagging braces, and MOTM Daniel Baker adding the fifth.

CHURCH: Church Under 10s were beaten 8-1 by Wilpshire despite an early goal, when Daniel Preston fired in from outside the box. Although Church had plenty of possession they couldn't convert this into goals. The scoreline could have been heavier but for some stout defending by MOTM Lewis Southward.

RISHTON UNITED: Rishton Utd Red Under 8s suffered an 11-1 reverse at the hands of Barrowford Celtic Black

The Under 10s lost in the League Cup 4-1 to Barnoldswick Barons. Rishton scored from a Keenan O'Carroll corner only for Barnoldswick to level   just before half-time. Barnoldswick dominated the second half to record a deserved first-ever victory against the Rishton boys.

In another match the Under 10’s beat Whalley Juniors 7-3.

The Under 16’s beat Farnworth 4-1 in the LFA Cup. Rishton took an early lead from a Kieran Knott volley before Farnworth were gifted an equaliser. It took a Ben Bridson penalty to restore the lead. Alex Whalley and Ryan Holdsworth finished the game off.

The Under 9s recorded a 2-0 win over Whalley Juniors with goals from Bradley Bodie and George Taylor.

Rishton Under 11s came from behind against Great Harwood in the local derby, spurning several chances to level Harwood's first half goal, before being gifted one when the referee pointed to the spot in a dubious penalty.

Keiran Higham slotted home from 12 yards. Both teams continued to create chances and  Brad Morris in the Rishton defence was having an outstanding game. Rishton grabbed the winner when Charie Feeney forced the ball over the line.

The Under 15s put in a storming second half performance to defeat close rivals Blackburn Town 6-2. Rishton were level at half time but had Corey Slater’s hat-trick, Sam Yates (two) and Joe Campbell to thank for spearheading a strong second half showing.

KNUZDEN YOUTH: A depleted Under 16s squad went down battling 3-0 at R amsbottom Utd, after hitting the woodwork four times. Ramsbottom took control in the second half, with Knuzden centre back Nick Dewhurst MOTM. Aaron Peacock was player of the month.

AGSA: AGSA got back to winning ways - 3-2 over Great Harwood.  After Harwoood took the lead AGSA were quickly level with a well taken strike from Player of the Match Laura Starkie. Courtney Prestage then crept in to score at the back post, with Vicky Beard supplying the third with a neat finish.
