ANDY Mangan returned to haunt his former club as he scored one and set up the winner to give Bury their first home win of 2007.

Striker Mangan had said he had a point to prove to his old manager John Coleman and he certainly upset him coming off the bench to continue Stanley's away woes. They have won just once in 11 games on their travels.

"We seem to have got a jinx away from home," said Coleman. "With no disrespect to Bury, we will play a lot more difficult games that this and we are going to have to take points out of those games. If we can't take points out of games like this, it is going to be tough."

Ian Craney, making his second Stanley debut after he signed a three month loan spell from Swansea, started up front alongside Paul Mullin and hit the bar with a blistering 25-yard effort in the first half.

It looked like Stanley may rue missed chances but, 10 seconds into the restart, Mullin broke and his shot cannoned off the face of defender Dave Challinor and looped into the net for the opening goal.

The Reds, backed by a large vocal support, looked comfortable and it seemed a case of how many until under-fire boss Chris Casper brought on Nicky Adams and Mangan.

And they proved the difference with Mangan pouncing on a Paul Carden weak back pass and firing home from a tight angle on 71 minutes.

And Robbie Williams couldn't stop the striker twisting and turning and putting in a cross which Adams tucked home six minutes from time for the winner.

"I know Andy is a good player and I had a feeling he could score but we gifted them both goals," added Coleman.
