STANLEY were waiting to hear whether they have got clearance for Ian Craney to play tomorrow in the FA Cup.

The midfielder is on loan from Swansea City until January but the Swans had stipulated in the loan deal that the midfielder can’t play in the Cup.

The Reds, however, were asking the League One side for permission yesterday. It is part of the on-going saga with Craney, who was recalled to Swansea last Thursday but was allowed to return to Accrington on Friday.

Swansea do currently have some injuries and may not want Craney cup-tied. "We are waiting to find out," said Coleman yesterday. "Ian’s future is currently in Swansea’s hands but we have hopefully got him here until January and then we would love to make it permanent."
