ACCRINGTON boss John Coleman has confirmed he has made an enquiry about Southport striker Terry Fearns.

"I know their manager Liam Watson well and spoke to him a couple of weeks ago about Terry," said the boss, who has been a long term admirer of the hitman.

"Nothing has happened yet but it is not about the money. It is a case of watch this space."

Fearns, 27, scored 41 goals in Southport's promotion party last season and is said to be tempted by the move to full-time football.

He recently signed a new two year deal with Southport although former Red Watson is hoping his prolific forward will stay, despite being left out of the side last week.
