Greyhound Ford: The Under 14s beat Blackburn Town 5-0. It took until the 20th minute for Greyhound to start playing passing football.

Drew Bramley put Greyhound in front, Luke Turner then score twice more followed by Nathan Brooks making it four. Jack Dobson finished it off. MOTM was Ben Birch.

The Under 15s yet again had a successful weekend with a 2-0 win over Readstone United. Ford’s top goal scorer Tom Anderton finished off one of the moves of the game with a great header then Andrew Moores cemented the match with a good finish. Matthew Parkinson took a well deserved Referee’s MOTM.

The Under nines lost 3-1 to Rossendale Valley Blue. Jordan Taylor opened the scoring with his third goal of the season. But Rossendale Valley battled back to take the spoils.

HYNDBURN & RIBBLE VALLEY : The Under 15s league side maintained their 100 per cent record for the season with a 2-0 win against Yorkshire Champions Bradford in the first round of the English Cup.

Hyndburn took the lead when striker James Taylor rose at the far post to head in Jack Dewhurst’s chipped cross.

Victory was assured through a 25 yard direct free kick from Billy Upton.

Goalkeeper Connor Ripley who was superb throughout.

RISHTON UNITED : On Sunday, in the North Valley Youth League, the Under eights lost 5-1 at Padiham Saints but it was a spirited display against one of the best teams in the league.

There was a great goalkeeping display from Daniel Curran in the first half and Rishton scored an early goal in the second half.

Padiham regularly score 10 goals a game but the Rishton players, led by Bree O’Carroll, kept the score down.

The opposition manager awarded his Player of the Match to Daniel Curran while Bree O’Carroll was the Rishton Manager’s Player of the Match.

The Under 10s won 4-2 against Brierfield Celtic Blue

It was a much-improved performance with two goals from Thomas Threlfall and two for Joseph Aspin. Keenan O’Carroll was MOTM.

The Under 11s lost 12-2 at Readstone United but the scoreline didn’t reflect the game. Rishton’s goals came from Jack Wolstenholme and Brendon Cooke with MOTM Jack Goggins.

The Under 16s ran out 4-0 winners over Akzo. It was goalless at half-time but then Luke McVarish hit home from a corner. Sub Alex Whalley scored with his first kick of the game, lobbing the keeper. Rishton then took full control of the game scoring twice more with goals from Lee Beaghan and Ben Rea.

In the open age on Sunday, Rishton were 8-1 winners over Broadway Central. Matt Pendy (two) and Ramzay (one) made it 3-1 at half time.

After the break, Pendy got two more while Jonny Seal, Ste Ashcroft and Joe Pickvance got on the scoresheet.

On Saturday, in the Accrington and District Junior League, the Under nines beat Whalley 2-0 while the Under 10s were 6-1 winners over Whalley.

The Under 11s put seven past Church and have now gone eight games undefeated.

Keiran Higham scored from the penalty spot before Ryan Cothliff got a second and Charlie Feeney made it 3-0 at half-time.

Connor McNab added another after the break while top scorer Cothliff then got the fifth.

Substitute Jordan Kellett came off the bench and immediately he scored the sixth goal before scoring another. Charlie Feeney completed the scoring in the final minute. MOTM was Keiran Higham.

They next face Clitheroe Wolves Red who are top of the league - four points ahead of third place Rishton.

The second placed Under 12s lost out 8-2 to table topping Pendle Forest who stretched their lead to six points.

The Under 13s drew 2-2 with Knuzden. After a good-one two with Adam Aspinall, Brad Campbell equalised just after the break. Knuzden then caught the Rishton defence napping and scored a second goal but Campbell beat the off-side trap to finish all-square.

The Under 14s Blue drew 3-3 with Globe Bullough Park. Globe were 2-0 up within four minutes but Hassan Akhtar made a quick response to make it 2-1.

However Rishton were caught out again before substitute Jonathon James hit the ball into the corner of the goal to make it 3-2 at half-time.

Tom O’Boyle equalised in a frantic second half where both sides could have won it.

Rishton’s MOTM was Liam Mcnulty.

KNUZDEN YOUTH: The Under 16s produced a strong performance to win 5-2 against Haslingden. They were 4-0 up quickly at Bullough Park with Nathan Davis scoring one, two to Jake Wolstencroft and one to Referee’s MOTM Declan Heys. Cammy Caton scored after the break while MOTM was defender Adam Brown.

HUNCOAT UNITED : The Under nine Allstars went to the top of the league, thanks to a 5-0 win against Blackburn Shamrock. MOTM Kean De Gouveia and Taylor Harris scored two each while Jack Beech scored one.

Saturday’s Under 11s Allstars also won 5-0, this time against Clayton Park Rangers. Zac Bannan, Chris Dwyer, Connor Demain, Kiko Binns and Thomas Gilroy were on target. MOTM was Connor Demain and Referee’s Zac Bannan.

The Under 11s White had a great win, beating Lammack 7-0. The scorers were Tom Gilroy and Connor Demaim with two each, Jimmy Mason, Robert Powell and Dominic Hanratty also got on the score sheet. MOTM was Leighton Heyes.

The Under 12s also won beating Clitheroe Wolves 3-1 while Saturday’s Under 14s lost 4-1 against Briercliffe Rovers. Jacob Johnson got the the goal while Jake Crabbtree was MOTM.

Sunday’s Under 14s went out of the Lancashire Cup, losing 5 -1 to a strong Junior Clarets side. Matt Fearon got Huncoat’s goal,while Jake Crabbtree was again MOTM.

The Under 15s got back to winning ways beating Wilpshire Wanderers 4-1, thanks to goals from Steven Astbury, Jason Thompson, Tom Briggs and John Parker. MOTM was Stuart Murphy, Referee’s Ben Taylor.

AGSA : The Under 12s were 4-3 winners over Darwen Rangers.

Agsa opened the scoring when a Ciara Borwick corner was met on the volley by the Carrie Ingham before Borwick fired home to make it 2-0.

Before the half was up though Darwen replied with two breakaway efforts to make it 2-2 half-time.

AGSA restored their lead early in the second half when keeper Lucy Chadwick scored from the penalty spot.

With two minutes to go, Darwen equalised but, with the final kick of the game, Ingham scored the winner. Player of the Match was Laura Starkie.

The Under 11s won 5-1 against Bromley Cross with goals from Abby Rogers (two), Becky Froggat and Gemma Goodwin (two). MOTM was Jade Stott.

The Under 13s lost 4-1 to Wilpshire Wanderers with Leah Embley getting the goal.

The Under 17s lost 6-1 at Lytham.
