ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman was "devastated" after his side's loss to relegation haunted Forest Green at the Lawn.

The Reds had countless chances. Steve Flitcroft hit the woodwork twice, Paul Mullin had a 12-yard effort saved with the keeper's feet while goalie Dean Williams had an inspired game keeping out Ian Craney and Jonathan Smith.

And Forest had one chance on target - through one time Stanley target Mark Beesley - and took it on 64 minutes.

"I felt like crying for the last five minutes on the bench out of sheer frustration," said the manager. "The number of chances we missed defies belief.

"If we had won 5-1 Forest couldn't have complained. Seven or eight of my players had really good performances and I can't fault them. I am devastated.

"We have to bounce back against Carlisle now on Tuesday night."
