ACCRINGTON Stanley have been told to improve their discipline or face a fine at the end of the season.
Chairman Eric Whalley and boss John Coleman were up before the FA Disciplinary Committee in Manchester on Tuesday - along with a number of other clubs.
And the Reds chief knows his side now have to avoid red and yellow cards if they are not to be hit in the pocket.
The Reds have 11 sendings off in all competitions and 69 yellow cards in the Conference this season.
"It wasn't a charge - just a chat with four FA officials - and everyone wants the same," said Coleman. "We all want less cautions, less sendings-off and suspensions so we have got to make an effort."
"The lads have got to focus on that, stand up and take responsibility for their actions. It is no good hiding behind referees, they will make the odd mistake but they are not always wrong."
"We have got to be accountable to ourselves and address the problem of cards and minimise that between now and the end of the season. There will be action if we haven't smartened up our act by the end of the season."
"We have got to make a concerted effort - we have hardly any cards for dissent in the last three or four weeks, we have got to get away from niggly ones like pulling shirts and just go back to mis-timed tackles which can happen to anyone."
