JAMIE Speare admitted it will be hard running out at the Interlink tomorrow as he says good-bye to the Stanley fans with his testimonial (ko 3pm).

The current Stanley side will take on a "Jamie Speare XI" which will consist of players from the 2000 UniBond First Division championship side along with ex-Everton players Neville Southall and Dave Watson and some Dreamteam and Brookside actors. The goalkeeper, who left Stanley in the summer after six years service, has now signed for Lancaster.

"It will be a bit weird," said the 27-year-old. "But things have to move forward. Accrington Stanley had been a big part of my life and it will be good to say a proper good-bye to everyone."

Manager John Coleman might have a run out for Speare's side after he played a big part in the team which went 22 games unbeaten in the second half of the season and won promotion.

"Jamo has given the club good service and if you will, he is the last of the Mohicans, the last of the ones that was here when I wasn't," said the manager, as Speare was signed just before Coleman came to the club. "He is a popular lad with the crowd and always gave his best."

"We had a good season when we got promoted back to the Premiership as it had hit the Accrington board hard when we were relegated. And no side had ever bounced back at the first time of asking. We took a step back to take a step forward and the club has gone on from there."

The price is £7 adults, £4 concessions and £2 for under 12s.
