ACCRINGTON threw away a two goal lead against Scarborough as they chalked up their first draw of the season.

The Reds had a dream start when Steve Jagielka fired home within 15 seconds - and Boro hadn't even touched the ball. And it was two on 14 minutes when Ian Craney was felled in the area and Peter Cavanagh sent the keeper the wrong way from the penalty spot.

Stanley were then on the back foot and, with seconds of the first half remaining, Mark Quayle turned and fired home.

Boro came out pressing after the break and sub Jake Speight headed home an equaliser much to the home side's delight. But Stanley could have clinched it with seconds to spare when Andy Mangan hit the post from six yards out.

"That miss defies belief," said Coleman. "We are gutted but it is bad defending again. We have to stop that."
