It's understood personal terms have been agreed as Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman talks with Rochdale FC over their vacant manager's position.

The 49-year-old has been in discussion with the Spotland outfit since Stanley gave the Reds boss permission to speak to the League One club yesterday.

The subject of compensation is still being discussed between the two clubs.

Coleman, the third serving longest manager in the Football League behind Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger, had three-and-a-half years to run on his Stanley contract.

He has taken them from the UniBond First Division to the League Two play-offs in his 12 years in charge.
