The Accrington and District Junior Football League like most others is suffering from the winter blues.

After the inclement weather, the complete league’s fixtures for the 10 and 17 December and now the first Saturday after the festive period break have been postponed.

However, the Under sevens and eights moved to playing their games indoors at the Soccer Dome to keep them interested and fit.

The Under sevens have nine teams and Under eights have 12 teams who compete in the development leagues.

This allows for the players to develop and the managers to coach them – no results or league tables are compiled to comply with the Football Association.

Teams from the last games at the Soccer Dome are Huncoat United Under eights and Rishton United Under sevens.

At the end of March they will end their season with a mini-tournament in which all teams will be involved.
