Kal Naismith's first-half strike finally ended Accrington's wait for a league win this
season.

After 12 games, the Reds were the only League Two team that were still winless.

But James Beattie's men came from behind to overcome fellow strugglers Bristol Rovers and put that record to bed, stretching their unbeaten run to three matches.

Stanley made a woeful start as on-loan keeper Marcus Bettinelli spilled Alex Henshall's
fifth-minute cross into his own net.

But the league's bottom club replied on 19 minutes with Peter Murphy feeding James Gray, who fired inside the far post.

Naismith then beat Rovers left-back Tom Lockyer on 29 minutes before firing in his
first goal for the club since arriving from Rangers in the summer.

Gray and Danny Webber went close to stretching Stanley's lead in the second half.

And the Reds breathed a sigh of relief late on as a shot by Rovers substitute Eliot Richards clipped the top of the Accy bar, meaning they could celebrate their first win since beating Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup on August 6.
