JUNIOR football reports from around the area ...

ACCRINGTON STANLEY JFC: Only three out of 19 games survived the conditions at the weekend.

In the Under nines, Lewis and Oddie scored twice each as they beat Wilpshire Wanderers 5-0. Welch got the other.

The Under 10s were 6-0 winners over Pendle Forest Green. Goulding celebrated a hat-trick with Alexander, Forkin and Rosbottom also on target.

The Under 12s Blue were 3-1 victors over Fulledge with Poulton scoring twice and Shaw also finding the back of the net.

HUNCOAT UNITED: The Under nine Allstars beat Feniscowles St Pauls 1-0 thanks to a Callum Savage goal. Sunday's Badgers also won, beating Mellow Yellow 3-1.

RISHTON UNITED: The Under 11s got their winning feeling back again with victory over Clayton Park Rangers.

Ryan Cothliff opened the scoring, getting on the end of Billy Hargreaves’s corner.

One minute later, Rishton were two up when Charlie Feeney and Cothliff worked a one-two which resulted in Feeney scoring.

Rishton went 3-0 up when a defensive blunder allowed Cothliff to fire home from sixyards out.

Clayton got one back at the start of the second half but Rishton increased their lead when MOTM Cothliff completed his hat trick.

The Under 14s lost 7-2 to second placed Clitheroe Wolves. It was 3-0 at half-time and Rishton had had to soak up a lot of pressure.

And, from the restart, Clitheroe made it four.

Reece Harwood got one back before Clitheroe made it 5-1 but then Hassan Akhtar smacked the ball into the net for 5-2.

Clitheroe scored twice more to finish the game off. Rishton’s MOTM was Liam McNulty.
