Baxenden Villa's young football teams celebrated their season at a presentation night at the weekend.

Around 60 players, friends and family saw Commonwealth Games 1,500 metre runner Kerry Gillibrand present the trophies.

Both the under-11s and under-13s reached the Consolation Cup final in the Accrington and District Junior Football League and the under-13s won their final.

During the season the club has raised £900 for the Special Children's Integrated Play Scheme (SCIPS) to help send children with special needs on an activity weekend.

The teams were treated to a day out bowling and paint balling after the presentation.

Trophy winners:
Under-11s: player of the year - Jordan Lund, players' player - Ben Swindells, referees' player - Ben Swindells, supporters' player - Daniel Ainsworth, most improved player - Joe Entwistle, sportsman - Oliver Duffy, leading goalscorer - Josh Haworth, cup MOTM - Adam Bell.

Under-13s: player of the year - Josh Morton, players' player - Gary Micallef, referees' player - Arran McArthy, supporters' player - Oliver Aaron, most improved - Patrick Larder, clubman - Paul Rigby, leading scorer - Arran McArthy, cup MTOM - Gary Micallef.
