The East Lancs Predators travelled to Northampton to compete in round three of the UK MMA league.

After the two previous rounds, the Predators were leading the UK MMA league table with second-placed club Blood, Sweat and Tears close at the top and vying for the title.

East Lancs Predators again had a successful day, picking up eight wins to increase their lead at the top of the table.

Coaches Ian Longson and Rob Freedman were proud of the efforts of all the fighters involved on the day, with some notable performances.

Brendon Walker was again impressive, winning by flying triangle within the first minute of the fight.

This follows another highly technical submission in the previous round where he finished his opponent by a rolling knee bar.

Young Kris Leeson 16, again had a good day, recording the fastest win of the day via arm bar in 14 seconds.

Other winners included Dave Toole (Triangle choke), Danny Holden (Side choke), Ste Brunt (Keylock), Mick Hill (Arm bar), Danny Maxwell (Arm bar) and Gordan Haig (Leg lock).

Wayne Tierney, also of East Lancs Predators, made his semi-professional debut on Saturday night at King Georges Hall in Blackburn. He won in devastating fashion, finishing his opponent early in the first round due to ground and pound, completing an excellent day for the club.
