FIVE of Ribble Valley Athletic Club's talented runners will be competing at the English Schools Cross Country Championships in Leeds this weekend.

FIVE of Ribble Valley Athletic Club's talented runners will be competing at the English Schools Cross Country Championships in Leeds this weekend.

Intermediate boys Joe Basquill and Ian Yates will be up against each other and will be racing to finish in the top eight - and represent their country in Ireland the following week in the Home Internationals.

Star runner Leigh Lennon will take part in the Intermediate girls race while Nathan Ridings will be competing in the senior men's event. And Hayley Huntoon, who has been running for less than a year, has done really well to qualify as a junior for the cross country championships.
