GREAT Harwood manager John Hughes is "one happy man."
Going into the Christmas games, Harwood are fifth in the NWCL Division Two table, with games in hand, and are through to one cup semi-final and another cup quarter-final.
And they have only lost one league game this season.
"I am so proud of what the lads have achieved this season," said Hughes. "I know we have got a lot of games after Christmas but we went on a good run last year and I see no reason why we can't do it again."
Paul Mashiter is the current star of the team. Hasce scored a hat-trick as Harwood celebrated a 4-0 win over struggling Daisy Hill on Saturday. It was the striker's ninth goal in four games.
"Mashy is certainly enjoying it at the moment. We are strong at the back but we always create chances."
Harwood are at home to Fixton on Saturday (ko 3pm) and the week after, 3 January, travel to Chadderton. They have also just signed tall striker Neil Zarac who has been playing football in America and has been training with Bamber Bridge.
