LEWIS Wright bowled Accrington-based firm MATO over and they have sponsored the cricket-mad youngster.
The firm – which makes conveyor belt maintenance equipment – has given £1,000 to Lewis as he looks to climb through the cricket ranks.
He currently plays at Enfield Cricket Club but is also captain of the Hyndburn and District Under 11 side and represents Lancashire at Under 11 level.
In fact, Lewis was playing in a tournament last week in Cornwall against counties such as Surrey, Sussex and Kent and he was the opening bowler and Number three batsman.
He is due to attend St Christopher's High School in September and hopes to continue his cricket career, with the added financial boost.
"It came about because I am a self employed electrician and have done some work for them and I told their bosses about Lewis," said dad Phil. "They are mad cricket fans and they kindly sponsored Lewis to help with his kit and travel costs."
