OSWALDTWISTLE United's young stars, playing for Burnley under-11s, came fourth in a 12-team knockout in Holland.
Competing against some of the cream of Europe, such as Feyenoord, Borussia and PSV Eindhoven, the local lads held the eventual winners Feyenoord to a goalless draw. Scorers for Burnley in the tourney were: Oliver Devenney (4), Dominic K nowles (4), Jonathon Hartley (2) and Alex Johnston (2).
Goalie Luke Cairney of Sharples Street, Accrington, was voted the best keeper of the tournament.
Luke, who attends St Mary's Primary School in Oswaldtwistle, kept three clean sheets and only conceded six goals in all games. Burnley were the only English club to take part in the contest which involved teams from throughout Europe.
