CLUB members show off their prizes

ACCRINGTON Swimming Club's annual presentation evening took place at Platt's Social Club last Friday.

The prizes were presented by Hugh Burkinshaw, headmaster of Peel Park Primary School.

Secretary Debra Phillips said: "It was a brilliant night, enjoyed by everybody especially the children who participated in noisy party games!"

The club has just received a £6,000 from Community Futures Local Network Fund for Children and Young People to help towards pool hire which is the club's biggest outlay. Anyone interested in joining contact: D Phillips on 397327.
