IT IS the Accrington 10km road race on Sunday as the runners are put through their paces on the annual run around Hyndburn.
And entries will be taken on the day for the 6.2mile event so no one need miss out.
The race, run for the 22nd time and organised by Accrington Road Runners, starts at 10am with registration from 8.30am at Highams Playing Fields.
It begins at the Whitakers Arms before going through Huncoat, to Altham, through Clayton-le-Moors, past Accrington Stanley FC and back to Accrington Cricket Club to finish.
The cost is £6 to members of UK Athletics Clubs and £8 to unattached runners. It is £1.50 extra on the day.
There is a T-shirt to all finishes and prizes for the first six men and ladies and in various veteran categories and a team award.
